I have a 98 V8 XJR, Can some-one please tell me what all the fear is behind the earlyer Nikasil engines, Should I sell my Jag now if its that bad??
If your engine is OK now it will stay that way, other than usual wear and tear.
The petrol in the 90s had a very high sulpher level, that was the problem, petrol now had a low sulpher level, so don't worry

Get a blow by check done if you must (next service?) but I think the wisdom now is that if you have no problems so far from reduced compression or other engine issues then you will be fine as the fuel these days (since 2000/01 or so) is not a problem for Nikasil and Nikasil lined engines may outlast steel ones on the long term if there has been no damage so far.
