I am looking to install a jet wash bay and possibly a car wash on a redundant petrol station site. Can anyone offer any tips or advice on the subject or even suggest possible pitfalls,or do you have any other money spinning ideas.

Thanks in advance

I've a freind who has a jet wash on the side of his garage (repair/servicing)and reckons it easy money with low maintance costs, he's looking to expand to a car wash setup on a separate site and has been to a few shows looking into the kit

My local Asdas has two, and on a sunny weekend there is always half a dozen cars sitting waiting to use them. Just make sure its reliable cause these ones are forever breaking down

he currently only has a jet wash, don't know what sort of returns it brings in. The only problem I 've heard of are green lane bikers on a sunday afternoon, tearing up his grass frontage then using the jetwash and leaving mud everywhere

The local car wash magnate of Brighton and Hove drives a brand new SL500 (though he has the staffed versions). Must be something in it!

As has been said, there's always a queue at weekends at all the local jet washes...

It wouldn't suprise me! Do you know him or are you just having a laugh?
I seem to always see him parked illegally outside that gym in the King Alfred. He's been in the Argus as well for some sort of publicity reasons...

Shrewd businessmen,Ferraris,Mercs...I am led to beleive accountants are cautious of this kind of business as a front for money laundering.Think you can make a go of such a business, but suprised if it will be big league on it's own.
