So, how many of us carry a couple of these in our boots? Must admit, I only bought them last year because I was going abroad. But, what a simple sensible thing to carry. Should be made mandatory.

Next time you break down I bet you'll agree.

Why have it in you're boot. Whats the point if you have to get out of you're car to fumble around for it in the dark at which point you might be hit? Also, I think if you drive on the continent you have to have one in the car anyway.

Dammit, here's me thinking that when on the Contignent that I'd be opening my door on the side away from the traffic. Plus under seats are already full of fire extinguishers, maps, Marlboro, Rustlers etc.

However, thanks to your continental expertise I will definitely endeavour to "have one "in the car , would I need to pull over for this? smokin

Got two jacket ones in the boot, napped them from work, much cheaper that way.

Don't see the point in them exactly. Didn't see the point in the group of kids and the playgroup people wearing them in broad daylight either.

If you're going to be mown down on the hard shoulder, a bit of material ain't going to mean all.

No, but, it does tend to make a more colourful spectacle when it does. smokin

Another vote for the Poundland items - got two in my boot.

Better to have something rather than nothing. The road is a pretty dangerous place to stand at the best of times, but a fast road at night can be lethal.
