Does anybody know if i can buy some replacement manifolds for my S1 2.8, The engine and body are getting the full treatment, itd be a shame to spoil it by leaving those rusty lumps attached to my engine, Also id like to replace the steel water tank with an alli of stainless steel one, Any ideas where i may find one?

Why not paint the manifolds with VHT paint? You'd need to prepare them first - i.e. a good rub down (oooh err ) or better still a wire brush on a drill/dremel or similar!

Sorry Keithy, can you explain VHT? I was considering similar replacement at some point.

I assume the H stands for 'Heat'???

I also read on here somewhere that you may end up having problems removing the manifolds due to screws/bolts shearing off. Painting may be an easier option.

Im going to remove the engine first, shes getting the full dress up treatment, Ali rocker covers, braided hoses ETC ETC, so removing the manifold should be ok, Im also re powdercoating the front suspension, does anybody know a company that can do this for me.
After all this its bodywork time, shes gettin a full strip down and repainted in that nice purple and green matallic stuff they use on the new ones, does anybody know the mane of the stuff.
