Griffith v Chim
Discussion
both cars are pretty much identical under the skin, but the Chimaera was introduced as a softer alternative to the Griff (still a thrilling machine though!) whereas the Griff was set up firmer and can be a bit less forgiving, but its a REALLY thrilling drive/ride though!
personally i love both of them and i would love to own either one of them at some point, but it was the Griff that put TVR on the map, and it was the car that made me fall in love with TVR in the first place, so i'd probably choose a nice Griff!
EVO mag wrote a good piece about both in their "best of British" book, "someone once compared Griffith's and Chimaera's to WW2 Huricane's and Spitfire's. the Hurricane's were more numerous, they still did the business, but the spitfire was the glamorous one. that bit quicker and purer and more thrilling. i'll take the Spitfire"

get the newest car with the biggest engine in the best condition with your 10k if you've no preference on looks

Hi Bitrev, if you're looking for a sensible answer then this is the only one and it means get a Chim. Griffs for the same money will be older or worse condition.
A personal choice - for me Chim is prettier at the rear, and Griff has a pretier front but i also like both designs in all profiles anyway.
More choice with Chim as more were made (speaks volumes as owmership prospect) more practical with the larger boot for touring and better value.
If you prefer the 'look' of the Griff, then you must ask yourself whether this is worth the additional premium over a Chim, as essentially they are the same car underneath. Early Griffs were more focused handling wise, but later models were all the same underneath, the Griff following the Chim's lead with dampers etc
