Hi
I’m selling my 1998 R Reg Jaguar XK8 4.0L Coupe (hardtop). I bought the car as a project but a new job means he no longer has the time and now we need the space and the money and its a shame to have it sat there doing nothing, its such a beautiful car.
It was hit in the rear whilst it was parked at the road side so most of the damage is to the boot floor and will require pulling out on a jig. We had 4 quotes for the jig work and they all came in at £200 to £250. Other than the jigging work the car will require some minor panel work before painting

The parts you get with the car are;-

Rear Bumper worth £185
Rear Lights worth £90
Boot Trim worth £85

YOU JUST NEED TO FIND A BOT LID AND I CAN PUT YOU INTOUCH WITH A FIRM THAT SELLS THEM FOR £275

As the car was in park when it got hit, the gear box has gone into safe mode, I have been told that this can easily be fixed but to be sure I bought a recon box for £900 and new gear box control module just to be safe. I will include these with the sale as well as the work shop manual on CD ROM
So that is all you need to return this car to its original splendour.

The car itself is great, the interior is unmarked and the body was in excellent condition prior to the accident. It has covered 89,000 miles since new and is currently MOT’d for 10 months and taxed until October 07, It has a FULL JAGUAR SERVICE HISTORY and a recent check at a Jaguar dealer showed nothing of concern other than the gear box being in safe mode and the damage to the rear end. It drives fine even though its only pulling away in 3rd gear and everything works fine. I think the wiper blade could do with changing and I cant find any history that says when the air con was last serviced so I would advise the buyer to get that checked out, and I have noticed some cracks in the wall of the N/S Rear tyre I think from being stood for too long on uneven ground.
British Racing Green with Cream Leather interior and walnut dash.
Extra’s; 18 INCH Alloy wheels, Electric- windows, mirrors, seats, Top of the range sound system with CD autochanger, cruise control, sports mode, Air Con, Traction Control, ABS, rear parking sensor plus all the usual Jaguar refinement, this car would normally set you back £10 to £12,000 in its undamaged state so what you’re getting here is a bargain.

You also get all the owners manuals 2 keys, 2 fobs and 1 service key.

Call me on 07790 134 083

The car has to go today (Monday 21st May) I sold it on ebay for £6,100 but the buyer pulled and I leave the Country tomorrow

Why did he "pull"? Auctions like e-bay are legally binding you can't just decide to walk away unless your description of sale is in error. Did the buyer have the money and just get cold feet ? Contact a debt collector they will be delighted to chase the buyer through the courts.
