Mass Air Flow (MAF) Question

1995 XJS - 4.0L

I want to clean out the MAF to smooth out a rough idle. My question :bag: is where is it at?? There are two or three similar devices along the air intake route. A pic of one would be great. A placement diagram or a photo of one from an AJ16 is like finding a Rembrandt at a garage sale. Thanks!

I have amended a photograph of a UK spec X300 with a 3.2 AJ16 - trouble is for some daft reason, I cannot get that photograph into this response or an e-mail. There is no hope!!! However, the MAF is easy to find. Trace the intake from the air cleaner box, the MAF is the first item in the sequence. It is a like a piece of pipe inserted into the pipe route, with a rectangular box stuck on the side with a moulded plug/socket attached.
