Was going through some of the car vids I've collected over the years. Came across a short clip of a GP at the Nurburgring in the 60's. Kinda puts modern day F1 into perspective.



Uploaded it to youtube, quality not great but watchable.

eek It really has more in common with rallying than modern F1 (with the exception of the cars).

Cracker - I've got an In Car DVD with loads of the Ring on it. Those guys had seriously never heard the words 'Health and Safety'. There is another DVD worth getting - Derek Bell doing the Ring ina Porker 956 - In Car 956 I think it's cxalled. Fifth fastest ever lap or something.... Also awesome. Nice post Ian.

THERE WAS A TV SERIES THAT AIRED HERE ABOUT 15 YEARS AGO(SORRY YOUNG'UNS) THAT SHOWED EXTRAORDINARY FOOTAGE OF 1930S MERCS SIMILARLY AIRBORN AND DOING 200MPH ON SKINNY RUBBER-ONE OF THE MOST AMAZING PIECES OF FOOTAGE I'VE EVER SEEN-TROUBLE IS NOW I CAN'T EVEN REMEMBER THE NAME OF THE PROGRAMME....

No I'm sure it wasn't called Alzheimers, It was on on Monday nights, it was British and entertaining and, oh dear, I seem to have wet myself again... NURSE!!!
