Hi all,
I have noticed on several occasions that after full throttle acceleration in say 3rd or 4th, as you back of the accelerator in preparation for changing gear, there is a reduction and then small burst of acceleration.
Anyone else get this? Is it because I'm running too lean on full throttle maybe?

I get this as well with my 4L 95'M chimaera. It appears to be in most gears and sometimes in 5th you never get that burst of acceleration. It may be the Knock sensor backing the ignition off but then you would get it on hot days mostly and I seem to get it all the time. SOmebody told me it was something to do with the Cat as well. If anyone can help I would be interested in a solution cause I would like the burst of acceleration to be instant when you hit the throttle

Cheers

the what? No mate, these coal powered engine management systems don't have knock sensors!
