Live timing is very good, updated every 10 seconds.

Ted is in car 30 (PH#1) and has moved up from 32nd to 25th - only 21.43 hours to left - go Ted go biggrin

Second PH team (PH#2), now called Deudeuche, car number 31, started higher but have dropped to 18th.

Entry list is here:
http://www.2cvracing.org.uk/2007/snetterton/predic...

Anyone at the circuit care to give us more info. Like who's driving at the moment, what problems they are having etc.

From the circuit: it's really really wet, windy, cold and generally horrible. Lots of spectators have gone home, but the hard core few have remained to drink.

The race? Well there's still a bunch of 2cvs running around.

Comment from a driver? Antony from car 90 says "scary". First lap couldn't see a thing... so stayed flat. Started 18th, ended up (after 2hrs 45m), 4th. One of the best runs he's ever had in the car (and longest). He's back out at 12.30... and preparing by reading News of the World and drinking tea smile

Thanks for the updates.

Good to see Ted & crew climbing up the leader board.

Live timing also shows track conditions and weather - wet & wet since the start frown

Good on Pikey & Kinky for still being there - can you get the live timing in the bar? wink

What happened to team Rambo? They seem to be running fast enough but have only covered half the distance!

Is the speed shown the average? Must be a fast track for a 2cv to average 60! hehe

Skeggy - I came back this evening. But did spend a lot of time in the pits over the past 2 days.

They don't have the timing screens in the bar (that I saw anyway), but a tv signal is transmitted for the pits to view (of which Team PH did have a TV to view it on).

Kinky,

Let Ted & crew know that some of us are watching the timing screen and willing them on. In there in spirit if not in body biggrin

The Rambo car had some issues and was towed in...

Deudeuche are currently running 9th.. not bad for a team of dingbert novices!

the weather is horrendous and and the track is just 2 miles of standing water.. I had a few cross country moments and lots of opposite lock moments!!

The wind has really picked up now and the awning sounds like it wants to detach itself from the motorhome... oops

Just under 8 hours remaining.

PH Team 2 (Deudeuche) are running in 7th
PH Team 1 (Ted IIRC) are running in 18th.

35 still running.

Very well done to the teams...

and yes it was blooming wet... my socks are still wet after my final 4hr shift out on Corum.... (and the 6pm-10pm shift on Pit In wasnt fun in the gale...)

so well done to all the teams.

Spoke to Ted after the night qualifying session who was pleased that they had at the time raised their qualifying positon from last to 33rd...

and from the commetry around midday - when the commetry team FIANLLY worked out what PH #1 stood for - their man on the ground spoke to one of the drivers (i forget which) who said their where having a few problems engine wise and where hoping to cruise to a finish... i seem to remember the last current standings i heard at about 9:30pm was they where positioned mid teens... so not too shabby a performance for a rookie team

Full results here http://www.msttiming.com/barc/2007/72121.pdf

PH#2 aka Deudeuche are also listed - how we did it I honestly don't know silly but boy was it fun!

Great effort by PH#1 given the grim start to the weekend - among others you beat 2 Smoking Barrels and Rambo who were both predicted to be top 10!

That was me they interviewed biggrin

At that point, we were trying to nurse a sick engine to the finish, which meant stopping every 30 or so minutes to be topped up with oil. Unfortunately, it expired with just over 2 hours to go so we had to fit yet another engine, and I then took the wheel to nurse the car home over the last 2 hours. Fortunately, we had a 10 lap gap between us and the car behind, so I could afford to take it easy and keep out of trouble.

Also congrats to the PH #2 car clap excellent result!
