Where's my vodka?
Discussion
Afternoon all
Just got some heat back into me after sitting a bath for a while (well sleeping in it actially), just wanted to make a few observations from the weekend!
Firstly thanks to everyone who came along despite us having the worst possible weather. i'd like to think that I said at least a hello to everyone but apologies to anyone I missed out.
So many highlights, and most have already been covered, but lets just say my numerous telling offs from MSV were quite funny, trying to chat with people I couldn't see in a pitch black marquee on Sat night was also memorable and being wetter and colder than I have ever been in my life was interesting too.
We had a few issues but I reckon we got through so thanks for your high spirits, and in actual fact the grumpy marshall helped me ensure the band stayed on last night so even he turned out to be OK. On that note thanks to Nick and the Goodfellaz- how good were they?! I saw too many cameras pointing at me when i was dancing so I know they will appear sooner rather than later.
I think we are all agreed that none of us right now are missing Snetterton itself, so I announce that Snetterton is dead, but long live PistonFest for years to come. I have a few ideas (and discussed them with many of you) but I promise we'll have a better venue next year, with less of the unwanted stuff and more beer, mates, cars and er, sunshine (maybe).
Gutted about our gazebo causing damage to the cars- send me the quotes guys and i'll get it sorted.
Seems odd not to be heading over to Tyrells tonight after four nights of doing so, but thanks again for coming, I loved it and has anyone actually seen my vodka?
G
Oh almost forgot, the Dutch crew were legends. Hope you got home safely!
One more thing- donuts are not allowed Charlie- I saw the pic of you in the mud, and with Nigel waiting to join in....tut tut. Wouldn't catch me doing that!

I'm shocked! The Nazi Marshall actually wanted the band to keep playing?! Shocking...
I agree about snetterton being dead now and I think its definatly a good idea to move onto a better venue with better facilities.
I will be in touch sometime in the week, so hopefully I will have a chance to phone around and get some quotes.
Oh, and now I know where abouts you live there are no excuses for missing out on the SAS meets.

Good to meet and chat with you Paul, it was fun despite the weather. Sorry we sad north easterners had to bail out on Sunday evening. Rain we can cope with but that wind left my gazebo in tatters and my tent flat on the floor.
See you at sunny PF'08 (and before I hope).
By the way that vodka kept me awake nicely for my 4 1/2 hour drive home

Well the good news is that nobody was injured as I'm pretty sure it could have done an awful lot of damage if it hit someone.
I was actually all set to go home until that happened and I thought I may aswell stay and enjoy myself than drive home feeling sorry for myself.
It will be back to its former glory in no time!
eta - I can't spell

Have taken mine to be washed and its got a few more dents than I could see in the pissing rain! And yes was lucky no one was hurt, seeing it fly towards Morgans open window scared the life out of me.I was actually all set to go home until that happened and I thought I may aswell stay and enjoy myself than drive home feeling sorry for myself.

Don't feel bad at all you silly sod!We moved the cars over towards the beer tent hoping that the RV would be taken away and returned to us as was promised in the first place but unfortunately thats just when the gazebo decided to give way and 'detail' our cars!
