How about Brooklands Museum ? there is a superb new car park adjacent to to the Mercedes World complex which also has a massive car park.

The carparks are free and every petrol head should visit Brooklands which apart from the cars has a stunning aircraft collection including a Concorde ! Mercedes World ( free entry ) is mind blowing.

Easy access from M25/M3 I reckon a sunday morning meet would be very viable.

It's a great venue but costs $$$$$$ to hire plus anyone cant just turn up for an hour & go without paying to get in.

If you want a real alternative to VW its Sandown Park Racecourse car park. It holds loads of cars and wont cost a great deal. I reckon if every car pays £2 to enter that will easily cover the cost of hiring it.

You'll need a couple of marshalls on the gate to take money & direct traffic & Bob's yer Auntie. wink

You can do a day at Brooklands, which is £8 each and £100 refundable deposit if you want to cars parked in the prime car park - did something for SELOC earlier this year and it's a fantastic day out, Concorde is worth going on too, although it's an extra £4 (hardly breaking the bank, it would have cost several grand to get on one a few years ago...)

They are heavily booked up with club days this year, though, being the 100th anniversary, when I booked back in January they could manage two days in Feb then nothing 'til the end of the year!

My thought was that we just turned up and use the new car park ( next to Mercedes )if anybody wanted to go into the museum they could by paying the entry fee , the car park is free as is the massive car park serving Mercedes World to which entry is free.
