Matching his 'n' hers McMercs....

I saw this pair outside a country pub near Dorking at lunchtime...
"Would Madam like a nice soft top to go with Sir's 722?"
Given the location, I'm guessing they were either out from Mclaren in Woking, or maybe MB World in Weybridge. If they're from anywhere else, then I want the same company car policy!

772 on a 54 plate ? Did they do them then ?
That's exactly what I thought, but it absolutely had the badges, and I can't imagine someone would badge on up surely? It's hardly the same as a turbo badge on a Nova, is it!On the other hand, my car is on an '03' plate, even though the first production cars were on a '53' plate, so maybe it's a pre-production one from Woking?
Just checked with PH Ed Towler and the roadster isn't out for general release yet, and the 722 looks correct as it has that models front bumper too- must be some development cars out for a blat (and a pint)
G
Edited to add- the driving smiley is incorrect as obviously the drivers would simply select D and plant it- much easier after a pint I assume.

I just emailed it off to Autocar as well. It's a slightly closer shot than the one they published in April! I wondered why I was getting evil looks from the guys in the pub! G

Nice spottings
Wouldn't mind seeing those everyday!
Wasn't the 722 on those "54" plates in the magazines and in programmes when tested? Although it would probably have had German plates on it. I'm sure ive seen those plates on an SLR before.
Could be. It was certainly LHD.Wouldn't mind seeing those everyday!
