Evening all, just thought I would say hello. Just bought my 1st jag, a 2000 XJR and what a happy man, love it. After owning Fird's all my life but always lusting after a Jag i found mine.
Few subtle mods so far, smaller pully on the S/C from Jaguar XP, sstainless exhaust and an induction kit. That will do me.
Car is slightly high on the mileage at 120,000+ but had just been serviced before I bought it, tensioners and chains fixed and a new water pump, bills for £2000. Full history and 1 owners so all in alla bargain and by far the quickest motor I have driven bar a stupid Sierra years ago.

Just one gripe, I have the original startac phone but the damn harness is broke at the plug. Dont suppose anyone has the finis code for this and the code for the cradle to match. My dealer up here is average to say the least.

Keep smiling and cheers,

Nic

nice one, welcome, and enjoy it!

btw, how much did your mods cost, if you don't mind saying?

Just over £650 but worth it as I now have about 430-44BHp and you do notice the difference. The exhaust does make the Jag sound the way it should, deep throuat V8 rumble.

£650 including vat and fitting?

that sounds very cheap for everything you've had done.

did you test the car on the dyno?

If anyone is looking for parts I bought the performace package from jaguarXp in the US, good people to deal with and package things discretely.
Just fitted the exhaust and the induction kit today, pulley went on last weekend and the performance is stunning. Car changed into top gear at 150, than I backed off. The exhaust is really no louder. tha induction kit does give a neat wail and there is a change in the note on the supercharger whine, but not that much.

I also took the oportunity to remove the bumper and replace the mounts as I have had a rattle there for a while and I have to say the car is now rattle free.

Now I just need to replace the back tyres.

I will post some pics when I get them onto photo bucket.

Cheers

During, you can see the new bumper mounts as well

During, the whole air box goes

Pulley keeps the stadard belt so no need to change

Very happy with the results

Fantastic, thanks for the pics! Just looked at that website, very tempting! It's extraordinarily cheap, does it look like it's quality stuff?

Did you have to pay any import or customs duty or vat on this?

The quality of the back boxes, mine were rotten as weel, are 1st class, straight forward fit.
The housing for the induction kit did need a touch of cutting to clear the air con pipes.
Pulley went straing on but I did need a puller to get it off the supercharger nose.
I managed to miss customs but that is luck more than anything.

Speak to Chris at XP, he is a good bloke.
