Brake lights n windscreen wiper

Hi y'all. Well the wedge is now well n truly broken in. I found out that the brake lights dont work, when a geezer nearly slam dunked me at some lights. Anyone know the cure, which fuze?? But now, took it for a spin yesterday, a nasty black cloud spotted me topless,(woo hoo), and tested the wipers. mmmmmmm, worked for 2 sweeps then got shorter n shorter till the wipe was about 20 degrees wide over the shotgun seat.
Help....
Is it an easy fix, or do I trade it in for a civic.

Had a similar incident last year, except mine stopped completely at 60mph in a sudden torrential downpour which started whilst overtaking some slow moving traffic on a dual carriageway .

Anyway, the fix was simple - the nut that holds the wiper arm onto the drive spindle had worked loose. A quick tighten with a spanner and I was on my way again.
