This is a bit blatant advertising, against posting rules.

Anyway, I cant see how this is "the very best"! Until I read the reference to PU55 CAT, I didnt get it. It just looks how it reads - PJ55. You dont want a plate where you have to explain it to people.

Reads like PISS to me. What you want is XKSS numbers I think.

Hmm, a CKL track day no doubt. Mark out there with his Lynx and the Racing Green XKSS behind. A couple more photos of the same cars for you plus one of my D types and the baby resulting from the union of Mark's car and mine!

Mark's car is the sister car to mine both being built at the same time in 1989.

I thought this was a Scalextric picture

Scalextric modeled their pits on the Goodwood pits

Sorry, the picture of a Jaguar D-Type and the Racing Green's XKSS didn't let you read the number plate.

But yes, the CLK/XK-Club/JEC XK trackday at Goodwood. Were you there this year?

Norman, further you your point about about Scaletrix, I could make two comments.
1) and Jaguar modelled the passenger compartment on the D-Type on a scaletrix car. But hey squeezing into a seat 72x too small was a small price to pay.

or altenatively

2) that's no way to talk about the gentleman in the foreground, he's not quite that small!

I didn't intend to divert this onto the general topic of the XKSS attractive though the photography is, I just meant that you could get some variation on XK55 fairly easily, like XK55 CAT say or XK55 JAG, and that might be preferable to driving about with the word PISS on the front of your car.

And I know that its not an XKSS or a repro of an XKSS, but, does that matter, its a Jag, its a sports model, maybe a supersports model depending what you have done to it.
