Ferrari F40 parade at Silverstone today - loads of pics

Hi there,

During this weekends Ferrari Racing Days event at Silverstone there have been a number of parades planned to celebrate the 60th Anniversary of Ferrari and also the 20th Anniversary of the Ferrari F40. The F40 parade took place today with no less than 43 cars in attendance.

I arrived at the track at around 8.30am and there were already a few F40's on display. By about 11.00am there were loads: -



The cars all made there way to the National Straight at around 12 midday to assemble for the parade.







I cannot put into words what a superb sight this was, 43 Red Ferrari F40's all parked in one small space. If you say each cars value is £200,000 then there was £8.6 Million pounds worth in the parade.









At around 1.00pm the cars took to the track, it was a very slow parade although some drivers did hold back a bit so they could accelerate hard to catch up with the rest of the parade.









Will never get over today, certainly one of the best days out I have ever had.

Loads more pics from today event to come including the Ferrari FXX's out on track, Four Enzos on display, and not one but two Bugatti Veyrons.

It was MEGA fun! Looking out of the window (me passenger) and seeing that see of red behind was awesome. It was being filmed too - should appear sometime soon on Channel 5! Keep 'em peeled

Stunning to see a single F40, seeing a sea of them was kind of hard to take in, and the sound of those FXXs fantastico.

Fantastic pics! I've been working for the Ferrari Owners Club all weekend and part of my brief was to assist with the F40 parade I had to help supervise them moving around their parking area so it's great to see the photos of them on track as I couldn't get there to see them all!

What an absolutely amazing sight that little lot is!

The F40 is one of my all time favourites and one day I will have one in my garage, even if that means living in a 1 bed flat to pay for it!
