Ferrari F40 parade at Silverstone today - loads of pics

Hi there,

During this weekends Ferrari Racing Days event at Silverstone there have been a number of parades planned to celebrate the 60th Anniversary of Ferrari and also the 20th Anniversary of the Ferrari F40. The F40 parade took place today with no less than 43 cars in attendance.

I arrived at the track at around 8.30am and there were already a few F40's on display. By about 11.00am there were loads: -



The cars all made there way to the National Straight at around 12 midday to assemble for the parade.







I cannot put into words what a superb sight this was, 43 Red Ferrari F40's all parked in one small space. If you say each cars value is £200,000 then there was £8.6 Million pounds worth in the parade.









At around 1.00pm the cars took to the track, it was a very slow parade although some drivers did hold back a bit so they could accelerate hard to catch up with the rest of the parade.









Will never get over today, certainly one of the best days out I have ever had.

Loads more pics from today event to come including the Ferrari FXX's out on track, Four Enzos on display, and not one but two Bugatti Veyrons.

Fantastic pictures .....Not generally a Ferrari fan but the F40 is certainly a very special car.

I understand they made 1300 odd F40 cars,,,,great to see the owners using and displaying the cars, makes you you think how many others in the UK spent the day in an air conditioned garage under a dust sheet

Fantastic pics! I've been working for the Ferrari Owners Club all weekend and part of my brief was to assist with the F40 parade I had to help supervise them moving around their parking area so it's great to see the photos of them on track as I couldn't get there to see them all!

Hi guys, first time on the board, I did a search for supercar shows in the UK today after I saw an abundance of Ferrari's and a two-toned Bugatti Veyron on the other side of the motorway today heading north. Then when I saw this post on here I just had to comment

My hairs stood on end when I saw the Bugatti, its the first time I have seen one on the road in this country.

Welcome to Pistonheads, the Ferrari event at Silverstone was fantastic.

There were actually two Veyrons there today: -





Also counted 4 Ferrari Enzo's, 1 Ferrari F50, 1 Mercedes McLaren SLR, 1 Lamborghini Murcielago plus numerous other superb cars.

Hi there,

If I remember correctly both cars competed in this years Gumball event, I wonder if the stickers are left over from this.

I doubt the stickers are from the gumball, im sure pretty sure that they use all over vinyls for it.

Wish i had known about this i'm only 40mins away from Silverstone......

Keep your Posh VW's and Enzo's.. F40 for me anyday!! do almost anything to own one of those......

Got a ride out in a F40 and a F50 (owned by the same person) last year and would take the 40 allday.......

Great pics must of been a fantastic day.........

Tim, that two-colored Veyron was exactly the one I saw, I nearly lost control of my car when I saw it. I saw an XJ220 as well, but I was never that impressed with those, it was one of the original ultra-car club, however it just didn't hit the buttons.
