Hi all
Just a quick one. After driving my girlfriends cooper relativley hard, a yellow flashing light comes on the dash (just right of the airbag light which is also on!). This has also come on in the past when the tyre had a puncture, but no punture this time...
Anyone got any ideas what it means?
All help will be welcome....

Thanks

ben

have you checked the hand book?
I got stumped when the brake pad warning light came on once as I don't read mine much.

Is it the traction control by any chance?

Maybe the puncture warning?

Check the tyre pressures then read the manual on how to reset it.

Yep i did check the manual and it says take it to the dealer, and pay to have it checked (it doesnt say the last bit).
I will check the tyre pressures, could it come on if they are over pressure, hence the light coming on after they have heated up a bit?

Mine did it once. I checked the tyres then turned the ignition on and held the tyre warning button for a few seconds. The light went out never to come back on again!

If it keeps coming on it's probably a fault somewhere (if we are indeed talking about the tyre pressure warning!)

Traction control light comes on if you give it some on a bend, flashes like crazy...
If its the runflat indicator I would of thought it because of wrong pressures..

On another note, how do I use my runflats?! LOL I have no idea... Is i if i get a puncture and the light comes on a press the re-inflate button? I love that little batman toy smile

To 'use' the runflats you dont have to do anything. The button does not re-inflate the tyres, it just resets the pressure monitor after you have either added air to you tyres, or in the case of a flat, replaced the tyre.

I had a puncture at just over 70mph in my car (standard MINI runflats on 17" rims) and the first I knew of it was the orange indicator iluminating to tell me. So all credit to run-flats really, because on normal tyres I'm pretty sure that it would have been quite a shock at 70 mph +

What wasnt so good however was the £135 for a new tyre, and even at that price it was a good deal!!

Regards,

James.
