I want to upgrade the brakes on my Taimar, thought I would start with the front, has anyone any recomendations, advice or prices.
Is it OK to do the front first as they do most of the work or will the balance be upset

Firstly, have you got tyre and then tread left to transfer the braking down to the road and then, for 77.00 ukp using the same caliper setup change pads. I would alway advise getting a later type master cylinder (as fitted 78-80) as this has a safety system within the master cylinder that holds a back or front system in a failure (as opposed to the 1 front 1 rear in the shuttle vavle system of the earlier cars). There is also a brake material for the rear that will give you better rear braking.

PS The RD kit 23c does not fit directly to the TVR, you will need to make modifications to the caliper, caliper hand and find packing washers to put the caliper central to the disc also the kit is listed for the 15 inch wheel and the price does not include pads.

Hi TVR Vixen and Adrian, thanks for the advice. I have standard wolfrace 14" wheels so the RD kit will not fit. With my existing tyres I cannot lock up the wheels in the dry so the tyres will take more braking effort, I intend to replace the tyres soon with something more modern so the car should be able to handle improved brakes with the existing wheels if possible.
I intend to strip the brakes down next month as they are starting to pull to one side a bit even though the discs and pads look ok and the pistons seem free enough so I am hoping to improve them at the same time. Are there any other disks and calipers that will fit inside a standard wheel or are different pads my only option. Do you stock repair kits for the calipers as I may as well change the seals while they are stripped down.
By the way the servo is working OK so that is not the cause of he poor brakes
