Is this a characteristic of the Tuscan S of is the strange feeling that the car is all over the place at the front end under heavy braking a special feature of my S?

What could the cause be?

It is normal as far as I know. I think it can be resolved with better dampers but Joolz is the man to ask.

A Nitron Kit (£900 ish) or more expensive Ohlins (£2400 ish) will transform the handling and I believe the aformentioned braking woes.

Dangerous question (for my wallet) , who can supply and fit Ohlins in SE?

I just got my wheels laser aligned and it makes a sh1t load of difference!

Maybe check the allingment/tyre pressures first? then the pads if they are in good condition in all wheels.
If it's still the same, then get ready to spend some money if you want, for new shock absorbers

No vibration just lack of control (could be my driving of course)

No, I was just wondering wether one or both of the discs where not seated properly

Are you gripping the steering quite hard or just caressing it? (sorry! i've left out the obvious comment here)

Just this is coming up quite a lot recently, I swapped over cars with another Tusk owner recently because he complained of a similar thing. The steering seemed fine to me (hey I'm no superhero you understand!! just an ordinary g1t that's interetsed in this stuff now!) but it does occur to me that maybe it's a perceived thing - who knows, be interested in your reply

I find that braking hard, then letting go, braking softly then changing gear and steering does the trick.

The idea is to know the road/track first! Not even a race driver would cane it on a route he/she didn't know!

if it hadn't been an S i would have said it was typical if the front toe is set parallel. the front toes out as it goes into bump, causing wander on std Tuscans. I thought the S had the geometry at the front changed to overcome these problems .. maybe your car is just badly set up, or maybe the changes didn't do as much as I'd hoped. Modifying the front suspension to eliminate the bump steer is the way to go on the lesser tuscans .. never got my hansd on an S to check it's front geometry yet though. going to better dampers won't help you here, but going to incredibly stiff springs will ..

If I post the geometry on my S will that be of service? I got them aligned at Racing Green TVR which I cannot recommend enough!

Do you mean changing the alignment, firming up the springs or actually moving the rack to level out the track rods?
