Where are all our super signings? frown

Nothing seems to be going on, are the owners going to be bringing in some new decent players or are they just concentrating on the stadium to bring in money for themselves? All the rumours long ago about Eto, Tevez and recently the uber flop Forlan seem just like hot air. Forlan is not worth the cost of the laces on my boots imo.
Newcastle, West Ham and Tottenham are building their squads up and they all on paper look like they could break the top four monopoly with Liverpool and Arsenal losing out. Gah.

Yours frustratingly

Easy there chief. I'll show my arse in Fenwicks window if that happens. Barton in Newcastle, disaster waiting to happen. Viduka, just plays when he wants. Allardyce has spat his dummy out already by refusing to speak to BBC for daring to mention his name in the Panorama programme. So can't see them being top eight never mind four

Agreed, with all the hype, rumours and talk of spending millions on world class players, its very disappointing to see nothing happening.

Plus with Benitez constantly getting frustrated, its not looking good at the moment. I'm sure given the time still remaining until the start of the season, things will happen, just hope its sooner rather than later.

Rumors in the sun that Cisse will be staying on loan for another. Benitez must now be thinking of keeping him... rofl

Cheer up, i'm sure you'll spend some wedge soon. Having read your depressive comments, Chelseas freebies dont seem so bad now... scratchchin and i dont think you'll see the best of the new United boys Nani and Anderson for a couple of years and Hargreaves isn't much different to Carrick imho

Aside from a proven striker, I don't want any 'superstar' signings floating into the team, we look pretty settled as it is considering all the rotation in midfield and upfront last season.

Regarding Cisse, I can see him at Bolton next season with the whole Sammy Lee / Danny Guthrie thing going on.

With Momo not going anywhere (would have got decent money for the lad) I think it's safe to say there's a decent warchest to raid.

Torres or Henry (I know, I know) to come next season methinks.

Car parkings going to be a bloody nightmare by all accounts once they start digging up Stanley Park, From what Everton were saying - they were trying to sell me a parking seasie. Mind you, it's the closest I'm going to be to getting any kind of Liverpool season ticket anytime before the year 2050.

I cannot believe that Forlan is even being considered as an option, he was terrible for Utd and just because he has had a good run in La Liga all that seems to have been forgotten about. Wonder if Rafa will be scouting Kleberson, Veron et al! scratchchin

LOL!

Doubt it. Same every year - Spurs overspend on average players, get no-where, fans moan and call for the managers head.

I like Jol, but I don't see your fortunes changing...

Spot on, for every ounce of creditability Jol built up with the Berbatov purchase he has blown away with the mega dosh buying of Bent.

As for LFC latest developments...
Depending on what paper you read over the weekend and today
  • Torres deal is done just waiting for him to come back from holiday
  • Heinze will be coming
  • Tevez will be coming providing...
  • Mascherano gets a permi contract
  • Garcia is going to where he came from...
All that and the devil skated into work this morning.

Everton managed it on feck all money at all! The amount Spurs spend, they should be on their heels every year.... They are not, however! Only just pipped us to 5th spot on the last game last season!

Seeing as it's only the first week of July and we've secured an excellent signing in Torres I'm not sure what all the moaning is about. The plans for the new ground are imminent and everything points to an exciting season from where I'm sat. Tevez seems likes distant dream but we need a winger more. Mancini would be nice. I'm sad to see L'il Louis go but for all his important contributions in cup games he was an infuriating luxury. So, see you all at Wrexham on Saturday?

P.S. Newcastle? Top 4? You're having a giraffe! Even fat Sham says it'll take 5 years to make top 6.

So... are Liverpool going to be accused of buying the title now that they are spending big bucks?

Signing a certain Sr. Benitez could be the one though ...

I'm glad we don't have the constant Jose / Wenger staying or going circus hanging around, apart fron the Real Madrid story that was quickly swept aside.
