Hi all

I am negotiating to buy a Triumph TR4A from Spain, which I wish to bring back to the UK. The DVLA and IR websites seem to infer that I should bring the car into the UK on the Spanish plates, MOT it when I get it back and then seek UK registration. The Spanish owner is telling me that I should obtain "temporary" plates to drive the car back. Does anyone who has done it know the definitive answer?

you should bring it into the country on spanish plates if your gonna drive it, you cant get uk plates or registration to be more presise without an MOT.
