I've been organising runs to North Wales and the awesome EVO TRIANGLE for years with the www.scoobysmacs.co.uk see the video and gallery sections for details.
I thought I'd open this one up to the pistonheads massive biggrin

You will be following/mixing in with subaru imprezas, so if you're driving something not quite up to par, better give this run a miss. This is a quick/legal/making progress run out. We do family runs out, this is not one of them. Route to be decided on the day.

Details if you want to attend:
MEET AT CHELFORD SHELL PETROL STATION
TIME: 06:30
WHEN: SUNDAY 24TH JUNE
WHY: because I got a pass! biggrin

Well there is a name I've not seen in a while!

How are you Chris? The octavia is long since gone, and I've gone for feedback over power these days so can't join you.

Shame, always enjoyed your routes!

Question is: What constitutes "Up to par"??? Especially since the forcast is for at least a bit of moisture wink

Would love to come, but looking after sproglet on Sunday. Live in Chelford, so make sure you give it some beans past the Edgerton Arms to get me out of my pit......

Ian c uk, I'm sorry, but you'll have to remind me who you are better than that! frown

Jackwood, "up to par" is at least 200bhp and can keep up with cars driven at a decent pace. Some form of roadcraft training is a must on this sort of jaunt smile

I often go to the Horseshoe pass and EVO triangle it's a great set of roads.

I'd be tempted to join you if it wasn't Oulton Park day.

BTW, have a 330bhp late shape 200sx, with appropriate brakes/suspension so enjoy those roads.

Didn't think the IAM still used Roadcraft?

Chris, watched a couple of your vids on SMACS. I think a little more than 200hp is required in your company smile

Might come out to see you at the garage and a little run out on your way. Not for the whole day this time, though.

Cheers

Jack

scottie - NW, you're right, the IAM don't use roadcraft, but of the 4 instructors that took me through my training, they all quoted from it smile

I realise this clashes with Oulton, but maybe that's a good thing, as the roads will be quiet at that time in the morning smile

Jackwood, I don't know what you mean biggrin
What will you be in? There are 3 newage scoobys so far coming. See you sunday. biggrin

I guess that depends how many CW's there are laugh I may of course have the wrong one biggrin

Back in the days when you had the red wagon, and 'chelle had the 22B.. I am fairly sure there wasn't any other Octavia estates that used to tag along! Did a few runs, from a wales camping meet, to some runs up in the lakes iirc.

I'll be the car in my sig, if I make it. Please don't wait for me.

Is your scooby blue with a white 'ring or SMACS sticker on the back? If so I think I might have seen you in the Chelford shell before.......

Jack, where were you? Had a brilliant run out today, roads were very quiet, bit damp, but a nice chill in the air to keep the turbo happy biggrin
Doubt you'd have kept up today either, as the pace was very "making progress" biggrin

Sorry I didn't make it out. Spent the wee hours (4am-5am) being kept awake by a not-too-well child smile

6:30 passed in a blur, nailed to my bed trying to make up lost hours........

Lucky boys had a good day though? Any vids to share? And yes, if the roads are damp in patches, a mid engined car is not the most relaxing place to spend a Sunday "making progress" wink

Chris, read your article on SMACS about the Nurburg trip last year. Sounded like a top few days. Any plans for something this year?
Kid is fine today thanks, BTW.

Glad to hear about the kid smile

No plans this year to do the Nurby, would love to but money is tight. Best I can manage atm is runs like this biggrin Which really aren't much different to driving round the ring, just a little slower smile
