Door adjustment on my Taimar
Discussion
I want to addjust the doors on my Taimar to shut more cleanly by rotating them to lift the catch on the doors by 5 mm on O/S and 8 mm on N/S. The doors are OK in the closed position but close with too much of a bang unless lifted. Before I start dismantling, does anyone know if there is a designed in adjustment or will I have to shim the hinges?

If you can lift the doors to close them are the hinges ok? - They do tend to wear.
If they are as Vixen then each hinge has a 'tongue' that extends into the door with three tapped holes. When you take the door cards off you'll see three bold heads, if you slacken these (if not seized) you should be able to move the door up, down, forward, backwards and rotate it (if you see what I mean). If they are different to Vixen them I'm talking through my a**e (usual, some would say).
Do suggest you check for wear of hinge pins first though.
