Where next then Eddie? You'll struggle to find anything newer than the Merc with an engine any bigger; more power will likely have to be turbo charged (which, arguably, IS a replacement for displacement).

And there in lies the problem. Ive possibly maxed out!!!

Do i venture to something big and American, which will never be nearly as good? Maybe get a 6.2 AMG stroked to 6.5 or even 7.0? Veyron is circa 8.0 if my memory serves me correctly. But thats not my cup of tea. The question really is 'where does one go after the 6.2V8'. Tough one!

Very tough indeed! You sure the only reason stopping you getting a Veyron is the type of car? hehe

Suspect you'll have to go turbo charged if you want a newer car with more power. AMG themselves are down-sizing. I've no idea where I'll be going next, but reckon I'll be keeping this one for a while. Only my 4th car but gone from 1.4 straight 4, 1.8 straight 4, 2.8 straight 6 to 4.4 V8

All petrol smile

Wow that's a lot of power out of the TVS2300. More details please! smile
Forged, blueprinted & balanced 6.2L LSA-based block with LSA forged crank, forged rods and Mahle pistons 10:1 CR. GT9 Ligenfelter cam and of course the TVS2300 supercharger running 14 psi boost. Twin fuel pumps and about 16mpg on SUL!! Goes like a bd though.

I think they are basically fridges.

Colder air in = more power.
