Hi,

Do any of you know of a company / specialist that can make up folding convertible hoods from scratch? Not as a replacement for existing? Preferably based in NE Scotland if poss???

I have been toying with this idea for a long time, and I would like to now try to take it further, just need somebody with the fabrication and upholstery skills to do the job.
Cheers

Ian

Ian,

IIRC my brother had someone in Aberdeen make a hood for his Healey.

I should be speaking to him today so I'll ask him.

Cheers,

Assuming, you are just talking about the hood material and not the frame, the Saddler at Drumoak used to do them. I saw one he did a few years back for a mate and he made a great job of it. That was a few years ago (3-4) so they might be gone now?

cheers

Actually, no. I am looking for someone to make the frame as well, I need the complete item made from scratch. Thanks for the help anyway

(0131) 665 0900 - Newhailes Road, Fisherrow Industrial Estate

He does all sorts of stuff, lots of bespoke stuff for 20's vintage cars, but can turn his hand to anything. Done some small stuff for me, good work and reasonably priced.
