S1 Door hinges?

Has anyone out there rehung the doors on an S1? My passenger door lower hinge is noisy and the drivers door has dropped. The bible is not very forthcoming. Any hints and tips would be encouraging......Thanks.

The hinges are very simple, just a big bolt top and bottom of each door, that goes through a sleeve bolted to the door and threads into a bobbin glassed into the shell. Unfortunately, getting access to it is an experience that can reduce grown men to tears. You will need to take the door lining off, which means undoing a long 8mm bolt inside the door with your finger tips working through the speaker and ash tray holes. Once you have managed this, the rest is easy.
