Does anyone know what the new cameras on the A406 are? Just before IKEA, if you are travelling from Brent Cross to Ealing, there is a bank of four cameras which I haven't noticed before. I thought they might be SPECS but they aren't painted blue/yellow and there are four of them on a three lane road?

I haven't seen those, but on another stretch of thee A406 (just before the A13 roundabout), there's also a set of 3 monitoring a 2 lane road (on both sides). I asked the question on Pepipoo, and was pointed towards the following article: http://www.spy.org.uk/spyblog/2005/06/london_congestion_charge_advanced_anpr_camera_test.html

Apparently they are ANPR cameras.
