yep, very straight forward but you'll need a mate to hold the captive (ho-ho) bolts. The procedure's in the bible, if you haven't got that I'll post how to do it.

Edited to add: I got mine from David Gerald but I think it's a ford part. Get the bearing version though and not the nylon version.

I think I got mine from Peninsular for about £10 (can post proper details tomorrow). Depending on exactly how yours is mounted, you'll probably also need a 'special washer' from a Sierra steering column - 25p from a Ford dealer. This slides up the triangular column from the UJ end and holds the plastic insert in place in the centre of the bearing (not mentioned in the bible). If you don't get the washer in place (assuming your S2 layout is the same as my S3 one), the plastic insert will just slide down the column and the steering will go horribly sloppy.
Also, at a pinch, it is possible to do this as a one man job. I fastened a small adjustable spanner to each of the bolts in the footwell in turn which held them enough for me to be able to undo the nuts in the engine bay.

Here's the info on the bearing... £7.50 plus VAT from Peninsular (01884 35341) plus £1 P&P. They also suggested that I buy the plastic bearing shell for £5 plus VAT but when I fitted the new bearing, I found that the shell they'd supplied was too thick for the length of the securing bolts, and I ended up sticking with the existing one as there wasn't anything wrong with it.

The old bearing I replaced was basically the same design as the replacement - I think that answers your question.
If you've got the other type (nylon or something??), I think it's quite a common job to replace this with the steel bearing. There's something about it in the bible IIRC.
