Temporary work in Aberdeenshire

Good afternoon all.

As some of you may know i am on the verge of handing my notice in with my current job. Basically the one i am in now is underpaid, undervalued and i'm just plain unhappy. I do however have another job lined up but there is no firm date as of yet as to when it is starting so my thoughts are to hand i my notice, work it and then do contracting work until the new job is firmed up.

Is anyone aware of a decent agency / Contract company that would be willing to take someone like me on? It will have to be in the Aberdeen area but i will travel.

I finished uni a year ago with a Geology background but along the years i have worked in a number of different roles. Jack of all trades

Anyway thoughts and inputs appreciated.

My suggestion would be not to hand your notice in until the other job gives you a start date although this may be to sensible.

Too true, too true.

Been updating my CV and been on a bit of a applying spree so we will see. I will find out on Thur if any headway has been made with the new job so fingers crossed.

Why not just put your details into a offshore agency (Petrofac/Atlantic Resourcing) and just get a few trips agency rousting or something else till your job happens. If its because of a due date then you can still request to get off the rig if you need to.

Its just a case of weighing up my options now i guess.
