First off I make no apologies for the high Countach content...it's the only reason I went along as I needed a Countach fix. So to that end I would really like to say a big thank you to Ian and Lynn for being so hospitable and friendly, taking the time to chat and show me their stunning car, really appreciate it. (Hope you like the pics - took a fair few more and will stick them on a disc for you when I see you)
Also must give thanks to David(?) who brought along his simply gorgeous Series 1 4ltr - that was the deal breaker that made me cough up the tenner to get in - glad you turned up!!! Still somewhat shocked that I was able to get close to one...and on my doorstep in Essex! Thank you thank you.

Anyway - enough rambling...here's the pics. (frustratingly the Flickr re-sizing doesn't give an ideal size - need something between medium and large...grr)

fabulous pics david

glad you liked my car (400S series 1)

i've only got happy snaps of my car that i've taken over the years at various meets; it'd be really nice to have some top quality shots of the car on my pc. is there any chance that you could do a copy cd for me of the pics you took, i'd much appreciate it?

best wishes

ds

Beautiful set of photos!! Thanks so much for posting them. Never apologise for posting too many Countach photos!!

I would like to send a huge amount of thanks and appreciation to Lorraine and Leslie for taking the time to organise and choreograph this really fun and sociable event. Their hard work has made alot of people's weekends and their kindness and dedication is a credit to the Lambo club. I was priviledged to be a part of it. I would also like to thank all the policemen there for being so cool! Have promised them all copies of the photos. Some gorgeous cars turned up and we managed to photograph a few of them:

Hi there,

Superb pics, was going to travel down from Derby to get some pics myself but just could not face the drive (3 hours), plus the weather forecast showed rain.

What car does this belong to: -

Also did the Veyron and the Enzo turn up ?

Did anyone manage to get any shots of the De Tomaso Guara ?

Regards

Tim

AF - it's the EB110S - shot looking through one of the air vent holes behind the drivers side window.

Yep two Enzo's turned up, one red, one black. The newer machinery doesn't interest me that much so didn't take any photos.

De Tomaso Guara...D'oh! I had a look around it but didn't take any snaps. very nice though!

Hi there,

Thanks for ruining my weekend. laugh

2 1/2 years I have been photographing Enzo's and have hundreds of shots of Red ones. Not yet managed to get a photo of a different colour. Been to loads of events including the Ferrari Racing Days at Silverstone and still nothing but Red. mad

Ah well maybe next time I'll get my lazy arse out of bed.

Regards

Tim

Nice pics there. Didn't even know about this event.

Tim, here's a black Enzo for you. Okay, it was taken at Brooklands in May at the auto-italia day but makes a nice change from the common red ones biggrin

The convoy through Colchester Town Centre was such a fun experience and the reactions from the passers by were priceless! All in all, about 25 Lambos and Ferraris did the convoy and who ever came up with the idea...hats off to you. Im sure we made a few people's day!

Leslie, I have a few more photos of your beautiful car and wil put them onto CD for you. Forgot to say, your Urraco with that new exhaust is quite simply the BEST Urraco I have ever heard!

I would first like to say a BIG thank you to everyone that attended the show also the convoy throught the town centre was a great HEAD TURNED and enjoyed every minute of it.

Thanks to everyone for the GREAT pictures that you have posted on Pistonheads amazing.

Tim,

Since JayKay was at Silverstone FRD with his black Enzo, you clearly weren't looking hard enough!
