New Impreza Already Receives A Facelift in Oz

Poor feedback prompts Subaru Australia to design new grille for Impreza

Subaru Australia has listened to its customer base

Grille: Not as rubbish

and redesigned the grille of the controversial new Impreza WRX.

Our upside down counterparts have never taken a liking to the concept version's egg box grille, and called for a replacement. So their version now has a shiny, black mesh grille.

So they’ve fixed the grille; all that’s left now is the sides, rear and interior.

someone take the designer outside and beat him around the head with a blunt instrument! they make great cars that look like shit. How many times over the years are they going to make styling gaffes, I mean come on subaru, we know you want the high volume low fun ford focus market, but you can't just click your fingers and hope to be there. Plus if you just dump your performance car market roots, you could end up with nothing at all.

The STI looks better although has matched the Classic for me (although I am slightly biased).

For me, neither Subaru or Mitsibushi have produced a contender of the classic.

Erm.....I like it! It's not brilliant, but it's better than the 07 Impreza which just looks cheap and nasty after being in production too long. And it's a damn site better than the horrendous Buck Rogers rejects coming out of Honda and Vauxhall.

Besides, rally hatches should be ugly, it's tradition....

Best to wait until you see it in the flesh. The bugeye looks crap when photographed, but pretty good in the flesh. Mind you, I have got one, so I would say that....
