Nice one!

I hope its the same track as a few months ago.
I was there for the Corsa VXr Launch and got one of the nights fastest times, which won me a rather natty VRX coat - well my dad likes it anyway.

The prize though, have you read the Terms and Conditions bit about;
"any structural/drive train damage which is deemed to have been caused by the driver will only be covered up to a maximum of £5000.." eek

...better take my cheque book then - obviously being vastly optimistic!

I've had an e-mail this morning saying they can't place me in a semi-final because the terms and conditions state you must be over 21. I'm 23 ffs rolleyes

I'm doing it at Thruxton too. Although it clashes with the WTCC at Brandsfrown

I got an email this morning too but it was about confirming my age.

How everyone gone on??

Did mine yesterday. Funny old day really!

Turned up thinking that when I last did Manchester I got a 24.00 sec lap - 6 months ago.
SO - when I got inside and saw that the fastest so far (I was in the second group) was 24.69 left me 'smug' to say the least!

Did my 10 minute stint and only got 25.19 so was ever to slightly gutted at not breaking 25.00 secs and getting anywhere near me previous best - and didn't make the final.

Anyway, after feeling very sorry for myself and making up all sorts of excuses, it was only on the way home that I remembered my fastest lap in March was indeed 25.00!!!

DOH!!!

Good final though, really good racing between a couple of lads.
Good look to him..

...GIT!! biggrin

Hey oh - bit of free karting at least!

As you say, a bit of free karting never did any harm!!

Was the format a shoot out for lap times and then the quickest x number into a final race with the two winners going through to the final stage then??

Yep - thats the one.

Everyone was put into groups of 8 and given 10 minutes on track to record their fastest time.

The 12 fastest were then through to the final.

The 2 winners (1 from each of then morning and afternoon sessions) then go onto a race 'boot camp' early next year, along with 10 other winners from around the country.

The overall winner gets a fully paid up season in the Dunlop Sport Max Cup.

Bollox - I feel even more depressed now! smile
