Have been driving TVRs for about 8 years now and never bothered to join a club. Thought about it on a few occasions though.

I do like using PH though to get advice, opinion etc from other enthusiasts, which would be one reason for joining the TVRCC.

I would be interested in hearing from existing members about what they get out of the TVRCC, and also from anyone who has joined and not kept up their membership as they felt it was not worthwhile.

I live in SW2, in London, and would also be interested in hearing from members of my nearest TVRCC.

Cheers

Any you've not joined? Crikey!
Get it done today! It costs beans, you get a great monthly club mag, regional meetings, national events like Back Home (factory tour etc) - and meet loads of great people from all walks of life with nice cars old and new. Try it for a year - you won't regret it.

Join. Sprint is worth the money alone, IMHO.

Hi Gixxer,

I'm sure I sent you a reply to a mail received via my profile before - I'm the RO for Surrey. If you're not totally convinced you should join the TVRCC, then just drop by on a club evening or meeting have a chat to a few people and see if it's your sort of thing.

You do get access to great events you could not attend as an outsider through the TVRCC. Also, if you find that your local region is not doing what you want to do, then just say. I'm always happy to get ideas about what people would like to do as it's much easier than guessing I won't be at the next Surrey meeting, because I'm in France at Le Mans, however I will be at Brooklands this Sunday if you can make it there for a chat.

Cheers,

Steve

PistonHeads provides an excellent, and seemingly inexhaustable source of advice, encouragement and general banter, particularly for TVR enthusiasts BUT, you're missing out on another key element of TVR ownership if you're not in the club.

Follow Ted's example (you are a member Ted, right?!) and join now!!

Join. It's cheap. You get the mag, a chance to meet a lot of like-minded enthusiasts (nutters) & pick (what's left of) their brains, go to club events, holidays, etc, etc.

DO IT.

What you get out of any club, such as the TVRCC, is in direct proportion to what you expect from it or what you put into it. The TVRCC is definitely worth the membership fee each year. Not only do you get one of the finest club magazines of its type, but you also can hook into a network of members who are ready and willing to help with any questions or problems a member may have with his/her car, you can receive discounts on parts, service and/or insurance through your membership, and you get to meet some fine people through participation in the many club-related events each year. Try it, I think you'll like it.

....for what it's worth I would readily agree with that....same goes for regional meetings.

Sounds like Steve T from Surrey has it covered gixxer, but should you ever feel like a blat further, please feel free to drop in at Mid Essex...always welcome.......
