Can anyone help us out. We are running an Autotest on Saturday 18th August 2007 at Thainstone, for young people aged between 14 & 17. We need to find someone who holds a current 1st aid certificate to attend the event.Have tried Red Cross and St. Andrews Ambulance but had no success.

The autotest is aimed at young people 14 - 17 year olds. We are running this as an introduction to Motorsport. Hopefully they will become aware that our beloved sport does not need to be expensive. As we know there is a lot more to it than competiting, we always need marshals, scruinteers, timekeepers etc. Hopefully they will have a lot of fun and a better idea of what is on offer in the Aberdeen area.
We were actually approached by the local council to work with them in preventing so much carnage on Aberdeenshires roads, and this is just the start.
The is the 2nd year of National Motorsport Week which runs from 11-19th August - this is the week when the big push is on for recruitment etc.
We would be happy to see anyone at Thainstone, but our first priority will be the kids. We are also planning a trip down the boulevard within the next month or so to get some idea of the young peoples views of motorsport and get their input.
Well, thats me stepped down off the soap box.

Mr Chocolate - if the other Mr Bruce (Mizzdaizee's far inferior half) throws up ANY objection at all, then just tell him not only will he have Mizzdaizee to contend with, I will also 'deal with' him... He will be veritable chocolate in your hands at the thought of the wrath of J and me!! Unfortunately we can't be there - I organised our holiday before ADMC organised their autotest and it was hard enuf around the speed events! - but our thoughts will be with you all getting mud splattered et al! Enjoy!

THere will only be two competition cars for the kids. This is a Production Car Autotest so the vehicles cannot exceed 1400cc.
I would think that you could have a go at the end - as this is an MSA permited event and because its a first for ADMC we have to be really mindful of the safety side.
If you can be there for 9am. hope that wont be too early for you after the excitment of "chappie lump"
