Locking Wheel Nuts

A surprising amount of people have shown interest in my wheels so I assume the local pikey contingent will as well.
I got a set of locking nuts from Halfrauds today but when I fitted them they stuck out almsot an inch from the wheel. Looked laughable.
Are there any suppliers of flush-fit wheel nuts for the Scoob?

they are not flush, but they only stick out a bit; more importantly they are supposed to be good - McGard

You can get them from Demon Tweeks - we got sent a Scooby set by mistake for the Toyota. I'll ask MOH if he still has them.http://www.mcgardlocks.co.uk/

I can't see why molegrips can't remove seven-sided nuts rather easily, and if you do a google search on them there are rather a lot of negative comments.A garage can't remove them easily as they do care about damaging them - a thief won't.

I wouldn't mind a little extra stuck out of the side but these are a risk to passing pedestrians...

I'd be very interested to know how you'd get a set of molegrips, or anything else around them.
They're no easier or harder to get off than any other wheel nut, obviously being very slim they're aimed at wheels with recessed nuts like mine, the advantage being that they're not the average 17 or 19mm size. Of course they're not locking nuts, but as a slow down measure or a deterrent they work a treat, speaking from experience.
As for bad reviews, not sure, but I've used them on every car I've had for the last few years and never had a hint of a problem with them.
and for what it's worth the only locking nut I've not been able to smash off with a socket first time was a macguard, but they still budged after not too much effort on my S14.
Obviously I've not tried them all

All it takes is a thief to turn up with a locking wheel nut removal tool, which cost about £10 for a full set from any good motorfactors. They even come with plastic outer covers to prevent the wheels from being scratched.

Ahhh looking at those wheels - you want Tuner nuts - South West Wheels is where I got mine from - they're specially tapered to fit inside and not stick out or damage wheels.
Hmm Googling and I can't find South West Wheels/Tyres - details were passed to me by a chum so I'll ask him, but a quick Yell search brings up;

Got it - for the OP and the chap who posted his wheels halfway through the thread - It was South West Tyres. They're based in Clevedon, just off the M5 between Bristol and Weston Super Mare.

As far as what you can get from halfords goes, yes probably. They're still very easy to get off, just require a different method. for wheels like the OPs I can remove mcgards in a couple of minutes at most, and I'm not a tea leaf. For oppertunist wouldbe thieves they're undoubtedly a good deterrent, nobody can argue that.
