Seen this http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/146231.htm and wondered if anyone has one or has seen one
Col,
They look good to me, and the price seems pretty reasonable too. I've also seen a rotating system that you can drive onto and then rotate the vehicle up to 45 degrees sideways to enable work/inspection from underneath. I thought about it, but decided that gravity might still cause problems with removing heavy parts without a jack underneath it etc. My solution in the end was to dig a pit in the garage, which was even cheaper! It also gives you somewhere to dissapear into with the occasional can of beer - occasionally tapping a biscuit tin with a hammer for convincing effect!

Wendy (the girlfriend) walked into the garage the other day as a friend and I were sat with a beer just looking at the Taimar, she asked what we were doing and we both replied "just looking", she walked off shaking her head and muttering something about not growing up

I'm home next week and am competing at Harewood with the Sagaris on the 26th, and am back at work Monday. Just off the phone to Ric Wood discussing engines and freshen ups/upgrades. He speaks a very different language to my engine man. Drop me an em with you phone number and I'll call you if its convenient.

These look better than the ones on the first post.
I always shiver when I see a scissor jack used as they are inherantly unstable and bloody unreliable as a lifting medium!
I would only advise never to use them.
Speaking as one who has seen serious injuries caused by these poor jacks.
Cheers all
