Not my car but belongs to a friend and I thought this would be the best place to post. Pics aren't by me either. Mercedes have borrowed this car
to display at that new Mercedes museum place (in surrey?), it's got only 15,000 miles and is rather mint.

Nice and shiny piece of retro cool. Anyone care to suggest a likely value, as he's thinking of selling it?

confused Where does the red Merc fit in?

Black merc is lovely, doubt people will look back so fondly on the barges in the background.

I'd punt it around some of the specialists and see what they bid to kick of with

http://www.ccbenz.co.uk/

http://www.auto-barn.co.uk/

http://www.classic-benz.co.uk/

http://www.thehairpincompany.co.uk/

http://www.silverarrows.co.uk/

http://www.charlesironside.co.uk/

Also a very well presented ebay add with a high reserve is a good way of getting a handle on the price

Car like that ought to generate a fair bit of interest, and is in the right colour, all in all pretty unique!

And whoever said £12k sounds like someone whos looking to buy it! wink

I'd offer Mercedes first refusal, you never know they might want to buy it.

IIRC these were about £60K new. Definitely a classic of some substance and an investment. In 1998 I bid on a new one (300 miles or so) at the Coys aution at Silverstone historic weekend. I bailed at £20K I think it went for a lowly £25K. What would it be worth now with 300 miles?

Nick's car is a peach, you would not beleive the attention to detail that he has put into it to keep it like that...
I dont think I have seen a cleaner car!

How can you put a value on it, its got to be up there with the evo's in terms of value?

P.s Russel, hows the rebuild going on the 2.5?

Stunning, completely stunning.

There's a nice one on here for sale http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/184094.htm

£12k LHD with 93k on the clock, so add 25% for a RHD + premium for low mileage.

So anything upwards of £15k at a guess, £20k would be a tops IMO, but then someone who wants one badly may pay more?

Who knows.

I think it's kind of sad that it hasn't been used more.
