Sir Jackie will be doing a lunchtime talk in the music hall as part of the Look Who's Talking thing.

Good way to spend a lunchtime - keeps me out of the pub.

Cheers,

Aye, I got a ticket for the Willie Miller one too. I'm actually thinking of going to the Jack Webster one as well. I had cause to consult his book just the other day to settle an argument.

The last one of these I went to was Sandy Lyle. It was hosted by Frank Gilfeather and was a chat show type format.

The format varies apparently and some of the speakers may just deliver a monologue as opposed to being interviewed.

Anyway - glad to be able to flag this up for peeps. Maybe see some of you there.

BTW - we'll be having a pie and a pint in The Grill beforehand if anyone wants to join us ... so these things don't actually keep me out of the pub as I stated earlier. wink

Cheers,

Eric smile

Well spotted Eric. As I'll actually be on holiday then (it's a few days before my birthday smile), I may even join you in the Grill beforehand biggrin

Who all's going to this?

(He's going to Waterstones - beside Soul - to do a book signing too, not sure if it's before or after the MH event but I'll find out)

My Dad, John Whyte and myself are going to see JS tonight, at something somewhere. Taking a picture of me driving his old F1 March at Shelsley 03 to see if we can get him to sign it for me.

Now i know, were going to the Tree Tops with our RBS manager, JS will be there at 7.30-9pm, don`t know what he will be chatting about maybe his mate Max. I had the pleasure of meating him a few years ago at the MSA RAC night of champions, very nice and interesting man (legend) but you could see his pa looking at his watch as if to say thats long enoungh move onto the next person.

Very enjoyable event and nice to meet a few of you there smile

Huge thanks to Eric for sorting me a ticket and arranging collection as I was running a few minutes late (I was at Bennachie when I called you the first time!), mainly due to some roadworks vehicles in a slow moving convoy at Kingswells.
