15in Powerbooks

Hi all

Thinking about getting a 15in powerbook, on the basis that the 12in one is too small, and i don't need the 17in sized screen and its £350 more expensive anyway.

But are Apple re-releasing the 15in powerbook in the aluminium of the 12 and 17? Is the current 15in an older model? as its titanium?

Any pointers, advice etc?

The 15in one is due for upgrade very soon - all the rumour sites I've seen have said June is most likely. Apparently production of the current one stopped a while ago, they're just clearing stock now. Will almost certainly be aluminium like the 12 and 17in ones. Not expecting anything too revolutionary on it - a 17 (with all it's nifty features) shrunk down would make most sense.

And there'll be the usual UK/US price disparity - for the difference in cost you could buy a short break to New York and buy the thing over there!
