After 14 years another M series car gets back on the road again.
There's still a little fettling to do to complete it, not least a thorough road test, adjusting as required, but I couldn't wait so have posted these pictures anyway.

So by my reckoning, mine should be back on the road by 2019.

Is that the rest of the Orange chassis John or have you had 2 builds on the go at once?

Looks absolutely great. I think that when the old fellas and the racer are a little further on a 5000m roadcar could well be the next project.

Neil.

No Neil this isn't my car, I bought it as a project car in about 92, then sold it to my mate Dave in 94.
I did the chassis (bright yellow by the way) and running gear in 94 and it's been an on-going project for Dave until yesterday (yeah so he thinks).
The engine is my old tuned Essex, before I put in my GA block engine, and is giving about 230-240 BHP, T-5 box, TR6 diff with Quaiffe LSD internals.
Daves completely re-done the electrics and wiring, which is a fantastic job, so he can do mine next!
There is still work to do but it never ends anyway, does it?

The steering wheel and horn button are really nice (as is the whole of the inside). Were these standard for any particular year? If not can you tell us the source?

The interior is standard layout, but re-covered in leather.
The steering wheel is an after market Momo with a boss from Demon tweeks.

John is just beautifull...

Tip for the steering wheel, the normal TVR horn push fits the momo one a perfect swap.

Had one in my old one, looks great.

I like the Momo steering wheel but even more I like the horn push! On my 1978 "M" it has a really horrible round plastic cheap looking Triumph thing that is the smae diameter as the steering wheel boss and covers all the bolt heads. Is the horn push in your car standard? It would be nice to have something that looked that classy for the odd moment when I take my eyes off the road.
