Hi guys, Just a quick one to see who's going to Bolton Abbey on the 7th of October? The website suggests 10am as a time to turn up…just wondering if anyone going would be up for meeting up earlier and going for a leisurely drive first?

bolton abbey location

Expect

If the event happens this happens rain or shine

90miles of country road, similar to that of the second loop of the first run out.

Meeting time: early, about 7:30-8:00

To get your car mucky before we turn up (we can either have a mucky section at the carpark or ill see if i can run us by a jetwash on our way back) i vote mucky!

Ill try incorporate a sarnie shop into the run for some buttys before we go back to Bolton Abbey, cant confirm til i do a recce next week.

...all feedback appreciated.

If you're talking where I think you're talking, and the car is ready, then count me in. I presume that you are talking about 07.30 from Bolton Abbey? biggrin

You know my view on Sunday traffic, it may be best to get up a bit earlier wink

If you can find a suitable cafe type place you can kill some time having breakfast after the run and before heading to Bolton Abbey - just thoughts but your call Mark

Oh, and I wouldn't bother with the jet wash - keep it simple, if people don't want to get their cars dirty they can keep them tucked up in the garage. Can you imagine how long it will take if we all decided to clean our cars!

Definitely interested. I'd got the Bolton Abbey meet in the calendar and all this talk of butties and cafes could well justify the early start.

Sunrise in October is just after 7am so a new set of halogens might be in order.

Mucky car - crikey, what's one of those hehe.

Anyway, should be up for this, depending on how the Saturday night goes (it's my birthday so a few drink will be in order).

See you at the Railway on Monday to discuss.

Lads,

Car should be even more of a missile by the time of the run out. a few more mods and sods and it`ll be a rocket ship. This time i`ll also try my best not to go past the meeting points(but you all have to keep up!).
Lets see if Mr `Cable Guy` can make this one and get the gt2 out of the garage and onto the open roads mark h has planned for us.
Can some one also please organise some fuel top ups as the on the last run out i was only av 13 mpg !!
Also, are we going to invite the mad farmer in his tractor?
Right then, back to graft and internet spending.

list if names

And make sure everyone knows just how far away from home Bolton Abbey is (with the exception of C3BER that is!) ... I'll be setting off from East Yorkshire at 06.00 for a start biggrin

(IF the car is ready that is, hint hint Mr Talkwrench Sir wink I have a trackday at Croft that I'd like to do as well)

Just a little tip - If every time you edit your post you delete the "edited by etc" at the end, you won't end up with about 15 "edited by etcs" at the end biggrin
