Hey Simon, Have you completed any of the 1/43 scale replicas? If so please post a picture. Good to see the real thing back to health.

Great to see it back together, looking good, like the front lights, I did consider them when I had the door replaced plus respray on mine but decided against them as had only seen them in picture so wasn’t to sure. How is the paintwork? Mine had a few small marks in it but not worth travelling all the way back to Bristol for.

Hi James, i am struggling to find/source the window surround, may have to butcher some other car to see what ill fit.

Paul the lights are excellent and can highly recommend them and have had alot of people say how good they look without loosing the shape of the nose as they are kept behind the standard fairings.
The paintwork and bodywork is also excellent, theres a couple of little dimples but not worth worrying about to much as i there was so much to do, i can live with that. And the inevitable stone chips it will get anyhow.

Yeah well some nice person scratched mine while it was in the services on the way home, only about 2 inches long on the boot but very noticeable, Webbs said they’d sort out the other stuff if i had the sracth done but it’s picked up a number of chips already, maybe next year i’ll have the front done again, anyway although they look great the fun is in the driving

Should get it back this week with it's rebuilt engine

Simon,

Looks superb and will put mine to shame. I am currently attempting to remove all the black paint from the nose cone with stone and am making extremely rapid progress !!

Those rear lights are sooo exclusive that the only other Griffith in your convoy to Le Mans has those rear lights as well !!!

I was wondering when the banana was going to be back!

I must say I wasnt to keen on the rear and front light conversions but I think they realy suit the banana and they look fantastic.

I am glad you got it back for the summer as well matey!

All the best

The big ends went, it was caused by the cam bearings shifting and dropping oil pressure to the crank so it’s being rebuilt, end bearings, rings, cam (218), all skimmed etc, just waiting for the call to say I can pick it up
