2.5 conversion on sti

I have just completed a 2.5 conversion on my 97 555 mcrae sti. Has anyone got a clue as to what it might be me worth? the car is in really good nick and i may have to part with it soon to pay for house upgrade????

You don't want to hear this but it will be worth a lot less than the work cost.

There was a nice looking 2.5 converted car going for £4.5k not long ago on scoobynet.

i was thinking around £6k but i'm not ipset at 4.5 i just would not let it go for that. For anyone who wants a good base to build a more powerfull engine in a good car it would be a sensible buy. (but i'm a little bias)

If it is not a rude question, how much did it cost to do the conversion?

it cost around 3k but i know the guy well who did all the work for me.

Is the lump you've transplanted into the 555 out of an STi?

the short motor is a brand new sti lump

It's as shame you have to sell it. I take it it's fully running, MOT'd, Taxed etc..?

just needs tax it has 9 months mot i think i put it on a sorn while the work was being done.
