Hi,
Heading off soon to Italy on a driving holiday and I'm hiring a '07 SLK350 for the job. Can anyone provide me with boot dimensions with the roof down? The case I intended using is 14"H 28"L 18"W. Too big? and if not how much more can I fit in?
Cheers.

The SLK has a reasonably sized boot - it coped with aa week's Euro tour that we did earlier this year quite easily. The only drawback is that when you stuff the boot it is not longer possible to drop the roof.

Aside from that, it's a great combination of sports car and tourer - I'm sure you'll have a great trip smile

Can I storngly suggest you use soft bags for your trip? Did a 3 week euro trip in mine and found that hard cases of any kind just didn't use the space effectively. There is plenty of space though. It's just getting used to using it.

Hallo,

Try this system,

http://www.koffer24.de/home.php?katID=8&js=tru...

it is quite surprising and not too expensive, no leather,
but who cares, at least we don't :-) moreover there is quite some space
left left and rigth, just be careful to be still able to open your roof, there is a limiter actuated electronically,if you do want to drive in open mode to your destination.
Enjoy your trip.
