Hi guys n gals, I just fitted some wheels to my 993 which I really like but the rears are sticking just outside the rear arches! They are Artec P's i believe, what can I do?

Thanks

Will rolling the rear arches be enough to help ? FYI Main Agents have a special piece of kit , dead easy to do ,just takes the lip up

A mate of mine works at a Porsche dealer, I'll give him a ring tomorrow, would rather roll the arches as I like the wheels, unless anyone knows where I can get some outer rim sections from which match the fronts?

GT2 kit is awesome, will need a supercharger/9m engine mod to have the power to match the looks.....brain starts whirring!

Or get a few mm of the metal shaved off the mounting face of the wheels if there is plenty there...

Those look like widebody wheels on a narrowbody car. On factory wheels there's a 25mm difference in the offset. There will be some room under the arch for a wider wheel but I think you'll struggle to find room, particularly under full compression.

Have made a few (loads) of phone calls today and found a company that will make me some outer rim sections! So gonna order them.

The wheel importer has confirmed that they are for a wide body car so I recon if I loose an inch on the outer rim section they will fit just nice!!!

I've recently read a post regarding wheel refurbishing so gonna have a go myself!!

Thanks to John at dt motorsport and Anthony at Porscheshop who pointed me in the right direction.

Cheers

Hello Bubster.im just thought id throw a line because ive just bought a set of the same rims but the cup 2 version and i agree the rims look amazing, just like you i dont wanna give up the fight for going back to 17inch rims.i have a 1991 carrera 2 please tell me you got over the arch flare problem?? my rims are 18/200 on front and 18/235 on the back not yet fitted tyres. is it worth spending the £600 on rubber.and does it handle like a shopping trolly.thanks Jay.
