Hi All,

A friend of mine has a new 180bhp TT and reckons it drifts to the left when at a constant speed. She's taken it back to the dealer and they reckon it happens with all TT's and hers isnt bad enough to do anything about? I reckon thats b0ll0x and hes trying to fob her off. I'm no expert on TT's though so i said i'd ask you lot, can you help?

Cheers

Daz

Hi Daz

Your right! It is bollox. I have a 225 TT and that run's perfectly straight no problem, no pull under braking either.

I'm sure you have told your friend this already but I would tell her to take it back again.

Hope this helps.

Mine drifts to the left!

Probably induce by doing hand brake turns though and generaly abusing the little bitch.

I've had the geometry checked and reset twice at AMD now for about £80 I think.

my S3 also drifts left, well it used to....took it back to the dealer who it for 2 days adjusting all sorts of things, wasnt too happy when in the end they let pressure out of the front right to compensate! anyway since this little expierence i have charge tyres all round(F1s), and guess what problem solved, no pull what so ever.

Mine's arrow straight but I've heard of a few on the TT forum that do. They can tramline a bit but what doesn't with largish tyres.

Had a similar problem with my A3 T Sport some time back, when I used to drive through Milton Keynes a lot - the front left suspension / tyre gots a hell of a battering. When the tyres were changed and the set-up checked, all was fine.
