Went on Sunday, have never been to a racing event filled with so many scum and chavs!! nightmare to get in and get near the track.

Thought it was looking grim when you had assholes racing each other in the nightmare queue to get in....

You had some great racing and cars on the track but people most people seemed more interested in the free crap on offer.

Why are people such scum?

1. Bags of shit left all over carpark
2. Tents left to rot - can't you take them home?
3. Pissheads wandering around being sick
4. The amount of bottles and crap people just tossed on the floor was a joke
5. Chavs reving tooled up road cars in the *collectors* area LOL
6. Even spotted a fight, first for me at a racing event *apart from drivers*

I hope for f**ks sake football has not come to racing

Charge £10 and lose the freeloaders

It's got no better then. rolleyes
Went last year and it was the worst day at Donington I've ever had.
Offer the Chavs a 'free' event and they lap it up, and like you said the crowd just don't seem interested in the racing. scratchchin
If you want free racing at Donington Park join the DPRAC, and have lots of 'free' days out for a membership of £15 a year you'll get in to over a dozen club level race days for free, have you're own 'granstand' and the cheapest and best coffee on site. wink

I noticed the Chav element at the GP earlier this year - plenty of shirtless lager louts strolling round looking 'ard.

In complete contrast to the DTM a couple of weeks earlier, which, apart from the incredible noise, could be called a 'family day out' - lovely atmosphere, no idiots, no trouble, lots of families.

Lovely relaxing day, better racing than F1 (and that's saying something for DTM!! ), and no queues for anything.

I've been to the Renault day a couple of times but now avoid it due to the "owt for nowt" brigade.

As mentioned above the DPRAC membership could almost be classed as free motorsport, just don't tell too many people...

There are two problems with this series:

1) Its free. Therefore it attracts a lot of undesirables who would normally go to the sunday market, and who dont care about motor racing

2) Its Renault. Yes, Ok they have an F1 car. But the vast majority of Renault drivers dont buy large MPV's (and wont be there) or the small rollerskates and then chav them up...

I had a really good day on Saturday, only spotted three idiots at the old hairpin drinking too much but they were'nt causing trouble, just made prats of themselves.

I'd agree that generally the crowd wasn't the same as you'd get normally at a race meeting, not wanting to sound too snobby don't you know, but I said to my brother on the day that I hadn't seen so many scruff bags in one place for many years. I thought it was about the same as the crowd you get at Touring cars, more interested in drinking than watching anything other than the main event and probably have never been to a race meeting before but saw it on the telly and thought it looked a good laugh.

Didn't spoil my day though and would definately go again, and plenty to keep the kids happy as well.

Yup The WSR meeting does attract the chavs but then donington is in between Leicester, Nottingham and Derby and the market gets cancelled so it's to be expected smile

The bit that pees the teams off is the foreign Michelin guys giving away old tyres. Which means every pikey in the place keeps asking 'Can I have a tyre?' To be answered along the lines of 'Yes that'll be £600' they then look at you to see if your serious and get told 'It's brand new and has a rim attached to it, now F Off I'm busy'.

Next year we're seriously considering having T-shirts made up saying 'No you can't have a tyre, now F@ck Off!!!' That's if the little scrotes don't just take them off the pit trollies whilst the teams are waiting for the cars to come out of Parc Firme as happened to a couple of teams. Luckily the police were surprisingly on the ball and caught the sods. Apparently they all seemed to have 'just found them'?!?!?!?
