Good start to the tournament, Gayle just hit 117 off 57 balls for the windies! South Africa are chasing down 205.

England's first game is against Zimbabwe in Cape Town, 13:00 on Thursday.

South Africa beat the West Indies by 8 wickets. 208 for 2 (17.4 overs) - so about 12 an over, not bad going.

Good start for that Cricketing Giant of a Nation Scotland against Pakistan as well - they have Pakistan pinned back to 114 for 5 after 14 overs!

I heard somewhere that this weekend Sky are letting you watch Sky Sports for free.

I've had a quick look in my TV mag and can't find any England games but I'm sure I heard that there was one on, anyone know?
Just don't tell me it's on at the same time as the Grand Prix mad

I haven't see live cricket on the TV for ages.

And can someone explain in simple terms how Twenty 20 works, is it 20 overs, what about power plays etc?

I think it's fielding restrictions for first 6 overs and thats your lot. No powerplays as such, and nothing that either team have control over.

Not wanting to build up any hopes after the Ashes and WC.....but the Aussies restricted to 138-9 in the 20 overs v Zimbabwe, has to make it interesting.

Australia not to qualify?????? Surely not.

What the hell are those tops the convicts are wearing? Have they forgotten their PE kit and are wearing leftovers?

Don't worry lads, I'm here paperbag wouldn't be right if I didn't pop my chin up for a well deserved "free hit". Luckily I'm off to Nth Greece in the morning to sit on a beach and drink for 9 days to try & get over it! I just got in from a night in J'burg too - wise timing comin back b4 tonights result... as I was having a bit of "friendly banter" with the Suff Effrikans - they would of caned me 4 sure if I was there now!

Anyway - Punter & the lads better decide if they want to take this comp fair dinkum otherwise there is a chance we might lose to the poms too and that is simply unacceptable wink. Anyway - well done Zim - outclassed us all night clap

Come on then ya too&froms - stick the boots in, you know you wanna! I'm sure u have all just become Zim supporters overnight!
